Excitement surrounding the 2026 FIFA World Cup continues to grow in Atlanta after hundreds of fans gathered in Fayetteville to welcome the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team as players arrived for training camp this week. The team traveled to metro Atlanta shortly after the official 26-man World Cup roster was announced, with supporters lining the streets to cheer, take photos, and collect autographs from players and coaches.
The U.S. Men’s National Team will now train at the newly opened Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Fayetteville, a state-of-the-art $250 million facility that serves as the new headquarters for U.S. Soccer. The complex features more than a dozen soccer fields, advanced recovery and training areas, and corporate offices designed to support all U.S. national teams ahead of the World Cup.
Atlanta is expected to play a major role during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Mercedes-Benz Stadium scheduled to host multiple matches, including a semifinal game. City leaders and sports officials continue preparing for massive crowds and international attention as Atlanta positions itself as one of the premier soccer destinations in the United States.
