R. Kelly is reportedly seeking legal help from a well-known attorney.
According to The Daily Mail, the R&B artist added Washington based lawyer Monique Pressley to his team. Pressley represented Bill Cosby in his sexual assault case before stepping down. She specializes in civil litigation, crisis management and communications.
Last week, the singer was in hot water after he was accused of leading an “abusive cult” in which he held and controlled young women. R. Kelly has since denied the allegations:
“Mr. Robert Kelly is both alarmed and disturbed by the recent revelations attributed to him,” his other lawyer, Linda Mensch wrote in a statement. “Mr. Kelly unequivocally denies such accusations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name.”
