Atlanta is preparing to close out its FIFA World Cup celebration in a major way. Mayor Andre Dickens announced that the city will host a massive free finals watch party at Piedmont Park on Sunday, July 19, giving fans a chance to experience the championship match together even though the final will not be played in Atlanta.
The event, titled “A Celebration of Soccer and Sound,” will highlight Atlanta’s food, music, culture, and international soccer energy. The free celebration will include a live viewing of the FIFA World Cup Final and a special concert from Atlanta rap legend Ludacris, making it one of the biggest World Cup fan events in the state.
Atlanta has already played a major role in the 2026 World Cup, hosting multiple matches with more still scheduled, including a semifinal matchup. City leaders say the finals watch party is designed to celebrate Atlanta’s impact as a host city while bringing fans together for one final World Cup experience. Free ticket registration is available for fans planning to attend.
