Rev. Al Sharpton and his National Action Network have joined the fight to free A$AP from Sweden officials. He released a press release urging members of Congress to demand the State Department to not only intervene , but to also allow him to visit A$AP as his minister.
“Reports of the conditions in A$AP’s jail cell and violation of his consular visitation rights are concerning,” Sharpton said in a statement. “We at National Action Network are appealing directly to the Swedish authorities for complete transparency and A$AP’s swift return home.”
A spokesperson for the State Department released an exclusive statement saying the Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo is fully aware of the circumstances and is monitoring the situation.
A petition urging Swedish officials to release A$AP Rocky has garnered over 360,000 signatures in one day.
We hope A$AP Rocky is released soon.
