According to court documents recording artist Rakim Mayers also known as A$AP Rocky is being sued by his former landlord Scott Crowe.  The suit stems from alleged damages to an apartment leased by Rocky commencing on or about November 1, 2013 through to August 1, 2016.

The complaint states that Rocky informed Crowe of alterations that he intended to make to the condo and agreed to return the unit to its original condition before the end of the lease.  Apparently the unit was left in disrepair when Rocky vacated.

Crowe cites a plethora of damages in his complaint, from a reconfigured walk-in closet which Rocky turned into a recording studio, removal by Rocky of a custom chandelier which once hung in the stairwell, the corner of the fire place mantel was broken along with the fire place door along with several other damages included in the court records.  “The unit was left in a generally filthy state with dirt, huge piles of debris, and garbage throughout the unit,” states Crowe in the complaint.

The plaintiff is asking for more than $250,000 in actual damages ($150,000 plus interest, along with attorney’s fees, costs and expenses) as well as $100,000 in punitive damages.
