HE CAN’T EVEN CONVERSE IN PEACE
Bradford Cohen, Kodak Black’s lawyer, is under the suspicion that the warrant issued for Kodak’s arrest was only issued because he’s a young black man with jewelry and designer clothes.
Cohen is adamant that something isn’t right as he considers the alleged misconduct of the police and the allegations that law enforcement sent pictures of Kodak to the media after his arrest, in addition to the fact that a detective was in the store on the same day Kodak allegedly purchased a firearm.
According to the police report, an officer observed Kodak at a gun counter and he was having a conversation with a gun sales clerk. The officer reportedly saw Kodak walk over to the sales register holding boxes of ammunition, as the sales clerk walked to the register with an open Sig Sauer box containing a rifle style firearm.
The officer then observed Kodak pay for the ammunition and a drum style high capacity magazine and allegedly heard him advise the sales clerk that he would be back to pick up the gun he purchased. Thus the speculation that he was attempting to purchase a Sig Sauer Rattler .300 pistol.
An investigation was conducted that found that Kodak was not legally permitted to buy the firearms so Federal and state warrants were issued.
The million dollar question is, the officer observed Kodak conversing with a gun sales clerk and handling guns, never actually purchasing one, so why is he under arrest? This question is a question asked by Cohen and supports his idea that Kodak was set up and profiled.
