After more than three decades of service to Hip Hop, it looks like Uncle Face is finally retiring the notepad. Early this year we reported that the rap icon had entered the race for Houston’s City Council. Jordan’s shift to politics just about solidifies his retirement, while the game will miss him, you often must release things in order for them to grow. Scarface will hopefully be the perfect candidate for the job, finally having the resources to change the circumstances, he spent his career shedding light on.
In a recent interview, the Houstonian rapper revealed that his shift to politics meant his retirement from rap. He was asked to elaborate on his 2017 interview where he said, “Scarface is dead” and whether that meant he was officially leaving rap. “I mean, for me it’s done. I like the idea of politics,” he replied.
