{MIDDAYS WITH JAZZY MCBEE} GEORGIA GAS PRICES REACH ALL NEW HIGH

After more than 20 days straight of increasing the gas prices, the South has reached a 2019 high! Even though the prices are, the prices are still lower than last year.

Spokesman for AAA, Mark Jenkins, says,  “Normal spring factors like rising demand, refinery maintenance, and the introduction of summer-blend gasoline should keep upward pressure on pump prices for the next couple of months. Gas prices generally reach their annual peak by Memorial Day, unless a hurricane or refinery outage threatens supplies.”

The most expensive gas prices in Georgia were in Brunswick at $2.46 per gallon, Hinesville-Fort Stewart at $2.39 and Savannah at $2.36.

The least expensive gas prices were in Catoosa-Dade-Walker at $2.22 per gallon, Warner Robins at $2.23 and Dalton at $2.24.

Motorists in Butts County on Monday reported paying $2.31 to $2.35 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.com.
