WHEN IT COMES TO THE #METOO MOVEMENT, CARDI B THINKS THE HIP-HOP INDUSTRY STILL HAS A LOT OF WORK TO DO!
Cardi B is quick to point out that where she’s from, women are expected to use their sexuality to get ahead, but when they decide to speak up about it they are often times ignored.
“A lot of video vixens have spoke about this and nobody gives a f**k,”
“When I was trying to be a vixen, people were like, ‘You want to be on the cover of this magazine?’ Then they pull their d**ks out. I bet if one of these women stands up and talks about it, people are going to say, ‘So what? You’re a h**. It don’t matter.”
She tries to explains that many men in the industry are not reprimanded for their actions. Movers and shakers of the industry such as: Russel Simmons and R. Kelly, are the example of the ones who actually have had consequences due to their actions. As well, she adds that other men in the entertainment business need to move carefully from now on. Lastly, she wants people to know that “Just because somebody was a stripper don’t mean they don’t have no brain”.
