Oprah Winfrey removes Russell Simmons her spirituality book.
Oprah’s new book, The Wisdom of Sunday, is a collection of interviews from her series on her network OWN. The interviews take place on her show “Super Soul Sunday”. Oprah and the book publishing company, Flatiron Books, released the news on Wednesday to the New York Times, that they have decided to cut out Simmons excerpts.
Simmons excerpts in the book included the impact of meditation. Although, the book was published in October 2017, the next series was expected to have an appearance from Simmons. They have decided that all of the allegations of the sexual misconduct that Simmons is facing it is beneficial to move on without him.
He has been under public scrutiny for months, with over 12 women announcing their accusations of sexual misconduct. However, he has denied any of the allegations.
