{Middays With Jazzy Mcbee} Timbaland opens up about his addiction to Oxycontin!

Timbaland opened up recently about being addicted to pain pills!

Atlanta! Timbaland recently opened up about his life and having a near death experience when he was addicted to Oxycontin and pain pills! Timbaland continued to pop pills when he felt feel depressed or had to deal with other personal issues going on in his life. Having a near death experience isn’t good in any way and he almost died from overdosing and popping to many pills on the regular.

According to an interview Timbaland did with rolling stone magazine, Timbaland began taking the pain pill in his 30’s as they were intentionally supposed to be used to help with his nerve tissue’s that were damaged from a previous gunshot wound he got as a teen. Later on along the line Timbo became hooked on the relief drug popping more and more pills as his depression got worse.

Timbaland believes when it comes to music and fame the pressure can take a tool on you and its all about popularity. he states “Music is a gift and curse, Once you’re not popping, it plays with your mind. I took the pills to help block out the noise – I’d just sleep all day. One time I remember Jay-Z told me ‘Don’t do no more interviews’ – because I was saying crazy s**t.”

In addition to being addicted at the time, Timbaland also blew through his money which caused problems in his marriage. The producer’s girlfriend Michelle said his addiction got so out of control that she was afraid he would die in his sleep. Michelle states “I’d put my hand right by his nose, just to see if he was still breathing.”

Things were becoming a problem and real fast for his life and his career but luckily after his near death experience he got it together. Timbo says “All I can tell you is that there was a light. I woke up trying to catch my breath, like I was underwater, But through that whole thing I saw life – I saw where I would be if I don’t change, and where I could be if I did. The next day, i began to detox and haven’t touched the pills since.”
