Two men were arrested in Jacksonville for trying to steal a light pole after Hurricane Irma
Two Jacksonville men Victor Walter and Blake Waller were arrested Wednesday night after someone reported seeing them with a light pole on top of an SUV! According to a police report, an officer overheard on the radio that 2 men without shirts were loading a light pole on top of a Gray Kia Sorrento.
Then the officer noticed a light pole was missing from the top of the highway bridge and saw the suspects Kia driving eastbound with the pole on its roof. The officer signaled a traffic stop and took Walter (46) and Waller (42) into custody for questioning. The pole was valued at $2,500 and they were arrested and charged with grand theft.
