Chance the rapper is being sued due to copyright infringement.
A Jazz musician Abdul Wali Muhammad is filing a claim against Chance the rapper for Copyright Infridngement. The claim is about Chance the rapper sampling his song “Bridge Through Time” without his permission. The song Muhammad says Chance made from his sample is called “Windows” from his debut 2012 mix tape 10 Day.
Although 10 day is not released yet, Muhammad claims Chance has received profits from the marketing, promotion, merchandise, performances, tickets/concerts as a result of him using Bridge through time sample on “Windows.” Muhammad is seeking finical payment from the infringement. According to Chance’s representatives Chance has yet to respond back.
