NBA Champions the Cleveland Cavaliers are currently in New York City to battle the NY Knicks in Madison Square Garden. This will be aired tonight on ESPN at 8 p.m. ET.
Instead of being asked about his friend Carmelo or the game, LeBron James was asked about why he made the decision to sleep in a different hotel than most of his teammates. Yesterday, LeBron and a few other teammates refused to stay at Trump-branded hotel in SoHo during their visit to Manhattan. This makes it look like a statement against the President-Elect, also James was a big supporter of Hillary Clinton. Also, this would be the first LeBron stayed in a different hotel than the team. Instead the King made it known that is was a personal preference rather than a statement.
“It would be the same if I went to a restaurant and decided to eat chicken and not steak,” James said. “At the end of the day I hope he’s one of the best presidents ever, for all of our sake, for my family, for all us.”
LeBron, and the other who didn’t stay in Trump SoHo, still took the team to the morning shoot around with the team like their normal routine.
