BET AIRS OBAMA SPECIAL TONIGHT!
The Obama family has obtained the title of being the first black family to occupy the White House, opening doors to more diverse and cultural aspects in society. The hip hop culture was greatly appreciative for being invited to the white house for performances, meet and greets, and to speak in order to make hip hop more involved in the American experience. BET is set to air a special, which they’re calling Love and Happiness: An Obama Celebration. In the special, Obama will bring attention to his musical taste and how it’s different from previous presidential terms. Obama stated, “You may think that the musical performances before we got here were a little stuffy. That’s true. They weren’t quit like our musical events.” the TV special will feature jill Scott, Common, Usher, The Roots, and many more, as it airs on BET tonight [November 15th] at 9pm.
