LUKE CAGE STAR FOUGHT TO GET THE BULLETPROOF HERO IN HOODIE… CLICK TO READ MORE

Marvel is making its most political effort yet, bringing its first Black superhero to lead an on-screen Marvel production. Marvel’s 1972 comic  Luke Cage: Hero for Hire is a story about what it means to be a Black man in America. Luke Cage was the first black superhero comic book, and now is the first black superhero with his own TV show. A bulletproof Black man in a hoodie, who hates guns and is against the current political issues, basically a Black protagonist. With the recent shootings of black men by police, protests from students and sports, and world politics, this is the perfect time for Luke Cage’s story to be told. Cage’s identity was modified to fit the current times, namely his bulletproof hoodie. The hoodie is a dedication to Trayvon Martin, against the current political climate in today’s world. Luke Cage made its premiere this weekend on Netflix, and so far they have nothing but great reviews.
