The beautiful Solange makes a comeback with black arts inspired video debut. Feel the black magic inside!
Last night was a big night for Solange and the black girl magic movement. Solange followed her instagram teasers with two new videos to follow her new album A Seat at the Table. “Cranes in the Sky” and “Don’t Touch My Hair” inspire the public with its deliberate and very black visuals. Both were directed by Solange and her director husband, Alan Ferguson.
At least one shot from “Don’t Touch My Hair” seems to have been inspired by an actual painting: London artist Lynette Yiadom-Boakye’s 2013 work “Complication.”
Solange the queen of visuals omitted a few clips that appeared on her instagram but not in the actual video, meaning that there are more videos to come. Be on the look out for more black prosperity.
