According to many athletes and fans, they may be having second thoughts about attending the Olympics due to safety concerns over the Zika virus.
Over the past couple of weeks athletes have been speaking out saying, ‘’If the virus isn’t under control by time the games start on August 6th, then they may not be attending. ‘’ Some athletes have threatened to boycott the Olympics altogether. As of today, American cyclist Tejay Van Garderen has withdrawn from the Olympics.
