ATLANTA, GA — Georgia voters are turning out in large numbers ahead of the November 3 midterm elections, with more than two million people already casting ballots in person.
According to the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office, 2,000,452 residents had voted early in person as of Tuesday afternoon, October 27.
The total represents a significant increase compared with the same stage of the 2022 midterm election, when approximately 1.64 million people had voted early in person.
An additional 97,382 absentee ballots had been accepted, bringing overall participation to approximately 28% of registered voters at the time of the announcement.
Election officials say the strong turnout reflects widespread participation across communities throughout Georgia.
With several important statewide and congressional races on the ballot, voters continue to make their voices heard ahead of Election Day.
Early in-person voting runs through Friday, October 30. Residents can check polling locations and voting information through Georgia’s official My Voter Page.
