ATLANTA, GA — Angel Reese has added another major accomplishment to her growing résumé, setting a new WNBA single-season record for double-doubles during the Atlanta Dream’s 89-81 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Sunday.
Reese finished the game with 15 points and 11 rebounds, giving her 29 double-doubles this season. That performance moved her past the previous league record of 28, established by Alyssa Thomas in 2023.
The record is the latest in a historic season for Reese. The three-time WNBA All-Star has also established new league marks for rebounds in a single season and rebounds in a single game. She grabbed a record 26 rebounds during Atlanta’s August 24 victory over Los Angeles.
Reese’s big performance came during an important win for Atlanta. Allisha Gray led the Dream with 23 points and 11 rebounds, knocking down six three-pointers, while Jordin Canada recorded 16 points and 10 assists. Rhyne Howard also contributed 16 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter.
The Dream handed the league-leading Lynx an 89-81 loss and improved to 26-14, moving into a tie with Indiana for fourth place as the WNBA entered its break for the FIBA Women’s World Cup.
For Reese, the latest record further establishes her as one of the league’s premier rebounders and one of the standout players of the 2026 season. With games still remaining on Atlanta’s regular-season schedule, she also has an opportunity to extend the double-double record when WNBA play resumes later in September.
