We all know that saying “a picture is worth a thousand words,” but you probably were not thinking 10 million dollars. Celebrity Kim Kardashian sure is making a statement after suing an app called iHandy for using a photo from 2017. The new editing app is looking at a 10 million dollar lawsuit that might leave them with no downloads. The well-circulated photo was taken from the star’s Instagram page for promotional and branding purposes. The suit includes the cost of licensing Kim Kardashian’s photo, using her likeness without permission, and collections of all profits made from using her photo. This is a problem no company wants to deal with. Unfortunately, iHandy learned their lesson with this one.
