R&B artist R. Kelly neglected to show up Wednesday for the most recent hearing in his government child pornography case in Chicago after his lawyer said he’s been stumbled by toe contamination that is made it hard for him to move around.
“They needed to dismantle off his toenail to treat it and he’s in a mobile boot thus,” Kelly’s protection lawyer Steve Greenberg told journalists after the concise hearing Wednesday. “He would not like to come today in light of the fact that in the process when you’re cuffed to different prisoners, etc, somebody could step on your foot … it could be very difficult.”
Greenberg said the damage isn’t “hazardous or anything like that,” yet said his customer merits treatment like any other individual since he has not yet been sentenced for any violations.
This isn’t the first run through Kelly, 52, who r.kellyhas been absent for his own hearing. He neglected to show up at an August hearing in Cook County court for his progressing criminal rape cases in that ward.
The judge all things considered was troubled by Kelly’s absence of appearance. However, U.S. Region Court Judge Harry Leinenweber, who is taking care of Kelly’s government case, deferred the artist’s appearance Wednesday without issue.
Various movements had been planned under the steady gaze of the court Wednesday in the vocalist’s progressing government case in Chicago.
