LOOKS LIKE MR. GOODING HAS GOTTEN CAUGHT UP DOING MORE THAN JUST ACTING
Cuba Gooding Jr. pleaded not guilty in Manhattan on Tuesday in court with four sexual misconduct allegations brought up against him by two women. The women proclaim that Mr. gooding groped them in an inappropriate way.
A dozen additional women also accused the actor of touching them or kissing them in an inappropriate way. Gooding was charged with two counts of touching and two counts of third-degree sexual abuse.
In one of the instances included, the 51-year-old man was accused of touching a women’s breast area and squeezing it without her consent while at a lounge. The other charge alleges that Gooding made a “sexually suggestive remark” to a lady at a nightclub in October 2018 and then later that night pinched her but without her consent, according to court documents released.
When the woman confronted Gooding, he said he had pinched her back, not her buttocks. He then raised his voice and proclaimed that he would never return to the club again.
Gooding’s attorney, Mark Jay Heller, told reporters prior to Gooding’s hearing that he is “confident” his client won’t be criminally convicted.
“Cuba Gooding Jr. is innocent of the allegations that were presented in court today,” Heller said. “We are confident there will be no evidence that will support the indictment.”
