EVEN THE POLICE AGREE THAT SHE HAD EVERY RIGHT TO BE ARMED
There is now a murder warrant out for Aaron Dean, the Fort Worth officer who killed Atatiana Jefferson in her home. The crazy part of the story is that her eight-year-old nephew is the only perspective and viewpoint that saw the whole situation go down.
The boy was in the room with Jefferson when she was shot. her nephew told the forensic person that he and his aunt were playing video games together about 2:30 a.m. when they hear noises outside of the house. Jefferson, the little boy’s aunt, took her handgun from her purse and pointed it “toward the window” before she was shot, according to her nephew.
Her nephew saw her drop dead, and Atatiana Jefferson was pronounced dead at 3;05 a.m. that morning.
Aaron Dean was arrested Monday and quickly released on $200,000 bond. He was a Tarrant County officer.
This was once again a senseless form of violence by a police officer in today’s society.
