Nicki Minaj spilled the tea on Thursday afternoon. “I’ve decided to retire,” she tweeted, and “have my family.”
While this news shocked the world (she’s been in the studio working on a new album), many of her fans, “The Barbz”, took the announcement really hard.
By early Friday morning, Minaj had deleted the original tweet and said that she should have addressed these issues on Beats 1 station, Queen Radio. “The tweet was abrupt & insensitive,” she tweeted. “I apologize babe.”
Minaj has been very busy: After dropping the single “Megatron” in June, Minaj said that her fifth studio album was in the works. She told Jimmy Fallon, “There’s definitely a new album, yes, of course,” but did not hint at any dates for the upcoming project.
