Aug. 15 would have been Nipsey’s 34th birthday and instead of putting on a much anticipated city-wide birthday celebration, the family has made the decision to celebrate in private. They received several proposals about putting together an event for the public, but the loss is still too fresh for those that were very close to the rapper. They released a statement saying that they are still in mourning mode and plan to celebrate the life of the beloved MC in private this year.
