Japan, Venezuela, and Uruguay have all issues warnings to their citizens about traveling to the U.S. due to the recent violent attacks by several domestic terrorists.

Japan called America a “gun society,” and told it’s citizens that they “should be aware of the potential for gunfire incidents everywhere in the United States”.

Uruguay’s Foreign Ministry advised visitors to avoid “theme parks, shopping centers, festivals, religious events, gastronomic fairs and any kind of cultural or sporting events,” saying law enforcement is unable to stop the violence.

Venezuela’s government issued a warning telling Venezuelans to postpone planned trips to the U.S. or take precautions due to the increase of “violent acts and indiscriminate hate crimes.” They also blamed the government in Washington, calling them “supremacist elite” and saying that violent acts have found “sustenance” in the “racial discrimination and hate” fueled against immigrants.

Venezuela’s warning also referenced the Forbes list of  “The 10 Most Dangerous U.S. Cities,”  which includes several U.S. cities to avoid because of their rates of violence. Among the list are cities such as Cleveland, Ohio; Detroit, Michigan; Baltimore, Maryland; St. Louis, Missouri; Oakland, California; Memphis, Tennessee; Birmingham, Alabama; Atlanta Georgia; Stockton, and Buffalo. Following previous shootings, France, New Zealand, and Germany have also told travelers to be on guard in these areas while visiting the US as well
