CONFESSIONS FROM HER FATHER AND HE CLAIMS IT WAS AN ACCIDENT
Derion Vence recently allegedly confessed where he dumped Maleah Davis’ body and it has been suspected that he confessed during a visit with community activist Quanell X in jail. Quanell informed authorities that Vence, confessed to him, he disposed of her body in Arkansas before he reported her missing in early May. Quanell also said that Vence wanted to be clear that what happened to Maleah was an accident.
One of the officers who traveled to Arkansas, Police Commander Michael Skillern, told reporters that authorities had found a child’s remains in a garbage bag near Interstate 30 close to Hope. Unfortunately, authorities won’t be able to confirm if the remains are those of Maleah until an autopsy is performed and it is unclear how long the identification process will take.
Dorian Cotlar, Vence’s attorney, has recently filed a motion in court asking a judge to prohibit Quanell X from visiting Vence in jail.
Vence claims he, Maleah and his 2-year-old son were abducted on May 4 by a group of men in a truck. According to him, he and his son were freed the next day but the kidnappers kept Maleah and his silver Nissan Altima. Reportedly Vence’s story kept changing and wasn’t adding up so he was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence, specifically a human corpse. He remains jailed on a $45,000 bond.
