THEY GOT THEM OUT OF THERE!
Dozens of Northwestern Memorial Hospital workers were fired after wrongfully viewing Jussie Smollett’s medical records without authorization. He had been admitted into the emergency room and treated after the alleged attack on January 29. Smollett claimed he was walking and was racially profiled by two men who were racist, homophobic, and had assaulted him using bleach and rope. Since then, the ‘Empire’ star has been charged with staging the entire incident.
Workers claim it was a misunderstanding and have never accessed the chart, but many were still fired on the spot. One nurse exclaimed that she wasn’t able to give an explanation or ask questions. She only scrolled past in when looking for a separate file. She plans to appeal the decision and believes many of her coworkers lost their jobs for simply skimming past Smollett’s file.
Law enforcements says that the attack was a “publicity stunt” because Smollett was upset with his pay for his role on ‘Empire’. He has since then pleaded not guilty and is free on bond.
