THEY SAID WHAT?!
Two of R Kelly’s girlfriends, Joycelyn Savage (23) and Azriel Clary (21) come forward to defend R Kelly during an extended interview with Gayle King to diffuse any allegations made by their parents that they are being brainwashed by the R&B singer. Clary stated, “We all are a family, all together.” with Savage claiming they all have a “strong relationship”.
Both women are accusing their parents of scamming R Kelly for financial gain and also coerced them into being with him. “Both our parents are out here trying to get money and scam because they didn’t agree on what happened with music or whatever it may be and they’re just very upset,” Savage said.
In the interview, King presented the 14 counts of child pornography that R Kelly was charged with decades ago where he was found not guilty. Clary commented, “We’re not here to talk about decades. We’re here to talk about what our parents are doing right now. And what they’re doing right now is all for money.”
Joycelyn’s parents, Timothy and Jonjelyn Savage, appeared in the Lifetime docu-series “Surviving R Kelly” expressing their belief that their daughter is being “held against their will” by Kelly.
The interview with Savage and Clary aired after Kelly made an emotional appearance on the morning show having a heated discussion with King in which he denied any claims made against him. King also expounded on his own past child molestation asking if his experience affected him in any way. Kelly claimed that it had no affect on his behavior, but on his music.
Kelly has repeatedly denied all claims against him. He is due back in court March 13 and March 22 for separate charges.
