What celebrities are under these wild masks?
The new show ‘The Masked Singer’, hosted by Nick Cannon, premiered last night, January 2. It had an outstanding turnout which consisted of 9.4 million views from ages 18-49. The idea of the series is straightforward; celebrities perform wearing huge, wild, and crazy costumes in front of a group of celebrity judges. Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Nicole Scherzinger are the celebrity judges for the new series. Twelve celebrities from across the entertainment world, including sports, perform onstage in front of the judges. Nick Cannon gives the audience and the judges’ clues to figure out which celebrity is performing. However, it is up the judges to figure out who is behind the mask. Six celebrities performed last night but judges could only reveal one – football player, Antonio Brown, who was masked as a hippo.
A good review came from USA Today states “It’s impossible not to fall in love with The Masked Singer.” There are Emmy Winners, Grammy Winners, and Hall of Fame players behind the masks. The Celebrity judges have no clue who is behind the masks. The show has social media going crazy to try and figure out who the ‘Masked Singer’ celebrity contestants were on last nights episode.
