As indicated by sources, the CEO and fellow benefactor of HQ Trivia and Vine passed far from a supposed drug overdose at 34 years old.
The young creator was discovered by Law enforcement after his girlfriend contacted the local authorities requesting a wellness check. Unconscious and unresponsive, he was pronounced dead on the scene. After notifying his family, New York Police Detective Ahmed Nasser let it be known that the medical examiner would further investigate and determine the cause of death.
“We learned today of the passing of our friend and founder, Colin Kroll, and it’s with deep sadness that we say goodbye,” a spokesperson for HQ said in an emailed statement. “Our thoughts go out to his family, friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
Kroll turned into a major name in the tech world after helping to establish Vine, the now-old looping social media app that created opportunities of various web-based stars.
Twitter purchased Vine in 2012 and shut down the application four years after the fact.
