A SUSPECT IS SHOOT AT MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN COLLEGE PARK
Currently the GBI is investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened in the parking lot of a College Park Mexican cantina early Sunday morning.
Sources say the incident happened around 1 a.m. on 5000 block of Old National Highway at the Cozumel Mexican Cantina restuarant.
The two Fulton County Sheriff ‘s office deputies were working as off-duty security at the restaurant when an altercation between patrons started in the restaurant’s parking lot.
During the incident, investigators say a suspect fired at least two shots at patrons, leading to a deputy and security guard firing their weapons.
The suspect was shot and transported to Grady Memorial Hospital. He is currently in critical condition, officials say. A woman who was not involved in the incident has also been shot. She was transported to Grady and is in stable condition.
Investigators have not released the subject’s identity or what he may be charged with.
