COMMON IS STARBUCKS TRAINING SPOKESPERSON ??
Today Starbucks is scheduled to close 8,000 stores across the United States. Recently, the coffee and beverage company made a company wide decision as a result of social media video that went viral.
Two black men were removed from a Philadelphia Starbucks from “racial bias”. While waiting at the coffee shop without making a purchase the stores management called the police to remove the two individuals.
The rapper, Common, will be helping conduct this training acting as the spokesperson in some of the trainings videos. Starbucks made the announcement of the decision to close the stores for training in April. The company’s training will cover conduct to prevent implicit bias and discrimination.
The training and closing of stores will result in $12 Million in loss of profits.
