SEE WHAT THEY HAVE SAID

People have been extremely offended by the twitter rants by the rapper, Kanye West.

Although, he has many nay-sayers, his supporters such as Adidas, will continue to stick by his side. Adidas CEO, Kasper Rorsted says, “There clearly are some comments we don’t support.” He found it unnecessary to dissolve their business relationship that has become very lucrative for the both. He continues to add “We neither comment nor speculate on every single comment that our external creators are making…Kanye is still an important part of our strategy and has been a fantastic creator. And that’s why i’m going to leave it, I’m not going to comment on every comment that he or someone else is making.”

The company ensures that they will continue to have success or without West. However, they do understand that the rapper/designer is an important element when it pertains to brand strategy. “Last year, we did almost $25 billion, we’re a very large company,” the CEO states. He continues to say “Kayne and the Yeezy is a very important part for our brand, from a revenue standpoint less though, but it’s very important part of how we promote our products particularly in the U.S. and other parts of the world. At the same time, the brand Adidas, grew last quarter in the U.S. 23 percent… So while Kayne is a very important part of Adidas brand, Adidas is a large global company with a very, very strong presence around the world and will continue to perform well.”
