A candidate by the name of, Evangelos Argyrakis whose 51 and running for Attorney General of Nebraska has really put himself in a bind.
On April 8th, Argyakis went to his fathers home in the middle of the night to talk and confront him about a situation they where having. Evangelos accused his father of taking money from his mom and started punching him in the face, while shoving his father in the kitchen.
Argyrakis admitted that he planned to kill his father and attempted to retrieve a knife from a kitchen drawer, but was stopped. After pushing his father against the cabinets with both hands, allegedly strangling him, according to the police report. He later let go of his father and left the kitchen.
The elder Argyrakis fled the house to a neighbor’s, where he called police.
Officers found the elder Argyrakis with a fresh contusion below his left eye and red marks around his neck. He was transported to Methodist Hospital.
