Branden Wentz, Doug Henderson, Aleem Clark Jr., Brianna Jimenez who are from South Jersey planned to rob an acquaintance late Tuesday night. The night quickly took a turn for bad when the robbery went wrong when one of the robbers shot himself in the hand.
Police officials responded to a parking garage on Cooper Street in Woodbury after someone called the police after shots rang out.
Officers learned that one of the robbers allegedly struck the 20-year-old victim on the head with a gun when it went off.
The four fled the scene as police arrived, but were quickly apprehended following a motor vehicle stop not far from the scene. The gun allegedly used in the assault was found in the car and charges have filed.
