A MAN GAVE A BANK TELLER A THREATENING NOTE ALONG WITH MORE INFORMATION THAN HE WANTED TO GIVE AWAY!
A Florida man by the name of Donald Towns, walked out of the Renasant Bank with $1,200 in cash on Monday morning, but, his robbery failed for a couple of reasons.
According to the police, Towns said that he wanted to open a bank account. When asked, he provided the bank manager with a drivers license, which was photocopied. Towns had also given the bank manager a note saying that he had a gun. However, there was one problem with the note. It was written on the back of a medical discharge not, which had Towns’ name on it!
Towns was arrested 36 minutes after the robbery. The suspect was located a short distance from the bank and later taken to the Columbia County Jail.
Towns is being held without bond.
