WELCOME WINTER!
The state of Georgia has multiple chances for a wintry mix in the days ahead, but NO major impacts are expected. Round 1 of the wintry mix will be early Wednesday morning with a brief mix of rain and sleet from 4 a.m. to 8 a.m. Some isolated areas will experience freezing rain. Round 2 of the wintry mix will start on Thursday into Friday morning. Freezing rain Thursday afternoon down in Middle Georgia, not the metro area.Round 3 of the mix will be early New Year’s Day with the possibility of rain changing to snow/sleet in the morning.
