A student’s music video posted on Twitter turns into a WHOLE DEAL!
The Morehouse College sophomore, whose extra credit assignment went viral, will SOON get to share his talents with younger kids, because he and his younger brother have just LANDED A DEAL with ‘Sesame Street’. Julien Turner, a marketing major at the Atlanta HBCU, created a music video about cell mitosis called “XY Cell Life”. His song was inspired by Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO Tour Llif3”. He created this song for the biological science for non-majors course.
The original lyrics are “Push me to the edge/All my friends are dead,”. He remixed them to “If my genes go left unread/ All my cells are dead.”
He posted is creation through his Twitter page. This video went viral instantly, even receiving national attention. Since the upload, the video has been retweeted more than 180,000 times and liked more than 357,000 times.
Now, with the ‘Sesame Street’ deal, he and his little brother have the opportunity to make learning a little more entertaining for the children, as well!
