New Orleans elects their first female mayor!LaToya Cantrell is her name. The first ever african-american female has been elected for NOLA’S mayor! The city council has made history with winning this iconic election.
Leading the election by having 60% of the votes, Cantrell’s opponent, Desiree Charbonnet, didn’t stand a chance. However, both were seeking to make history by being black females running in this campaign.
