SHES TIRED OF HER WORDS BEING TWISTED We all heard the interview that Nicki Minaj recently gave speaking on her role in bringing relevance back to female rap artists in the hip hop community.
She expressed, “My role in hip-hop has been super unique because when my first album came out, there had been so much time where there wasn’t a female rap album out that went platinum. There wasn’t a big female rap presence right before I got in. So, my role was reintroducing the female rapper to pop culture.”
According to Nicki, the blogs took her words and ran with them. She took to Instagram, posting a video of her interview along with a caption clearing up what she really said and meant by her words.
She cleared that right up, and rightfully so, paying homage to the queens who dominated the game before her time. Nicki said y’all got her f*ck*d uppp!
