Donald Trump has been all over the headlines this week! First with the NFL, and now with claims that we are going to war with North Korea!
On Monday, North Korea claimed that President Donald Trump had “declared war” and that Kim Jong Un’s regime would consider shooting down American bombers.
Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho told reporters, “Since the U.S. declared war on our country, we will have every right to make countermeasures, including the right to shoot down the U.S. bombers even when they are not yet inside the airspace border of our country. Last weekend, Trump claimed that our leadership wouldn’t be around much longer and he declared a war on our country, Even the fact that this comes from someone who is currently holding the seat of the U.S. presidency is clearly a declaration of war.”
The White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded during a press conference on Monday stating “We have not declared war on North Korean, and frankly the suggestion of that is absurd.”
All of this steamed from a tweet Donald Trump made! The tweet said “Just heard Foreign Minister of North Korea speak at U.N. If he echoes thoughts of Little Rocket Man, they won’t be around much longer!”
