SO HE MISSED HIS CONCERT!
Rapper Lil Wayne, who recently just had a birthday and freshout of the hospital was scheduled to have a show in South Carolina at the Colonial Life Arena on this past weekend, but of course he didn’t even make it into the building.
There has been a lot of controversy surrounding rappers who have to get checked by security at different venues, including some venues in Atlanta, but sources say that the white performs, both pop and country do not have to be checked by security.
This time, Lil Wayne was not having it. He refused to go through the mandatory security check at the venue for the concert.
The venue posted a statement on their website saying, “While we regret the artist’s decision not to perform, Colonial Life Arena is not willing to bypass its security standards and jeopardize the safety of its patrons, performers or staff members,”.
Although fans were upset about Wayne not performing, they were not offered refunds because the promoters stated that he was not the headliner for the concert. Other artist including 2 Chainz, Tory Lanez and Cardi B however did hit the stage.
