Camden County HS was hit by Hurricane Irma and McEachern did something about it.
Camden County High School visited McEachern High School in Powder Springs Friday night. The Camden County area was hit by Hurricane Irma. McEachern surprised Camden County with $3,600 for hurricane relief at the start of the game. This special moment brought Camden High School fan, Tiffany Lyford, to tears.
“The devastation that hit our county is mainly known only within our area. We didn’t make the big news stations but countless people in our area have lost everything thanks to Irma. This was truly touching, wrote Lyford on a Facebook post.
McEachern boosters did not stop at $3,600! They also donated gift cards and continued taking donations for Camden County throughout the game.
McEachern did win the game. However, both teams joined one another for a prayer in midfield after the game was over.
