Mo’Nique has been against the industry and speaking out on events that took place some years back, about career advice coming from Lee Daniels that didn’t rub her the right way.Not only did she come for Lee Daniels, she also called out Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry for the reason she has been “whiteballed” from the TV industry. Tyler Perry took it upon himself to reach out to Mo’Nique personally while performing at the Spotlight 20 Casino in Coachella, Ca. According to Mo’Nique, the conversation went sour.
“See, when he called us up and tried to be the billionaire I said ‘N***a, put Madea on the phone, let me speak to that real b**** because you f***ing this up right now, and to that n***a’s credit he got Madea on the motherf***ing phone,” she said.
“When he called up, he said ‘I watched your podcast and I saw your pain.’ I said n***a that’s not pain, that’s called honesty, don’t get it confused. Then he wanted to start talking to me and my husband like he was a billionaire I said n***a we don’t give a f*** about your money, let’s start talking one-to-one and let’s start talking some real s***,” she then told the crowd.
