TRUMP ISN’T BACKING DOWN
Donald Trump signed an executive order to ban travel from seven countries in the Middle East. Airports are in chaos across the world, as people who have already been granted visas and own homes in the U.S. found themselves going to back to their prior location not being allowed in the country.
President Trump signed an executive order Friday night to keep refugees from entering the country for 120 days and immigrants from seven predominantly Muslims nations.
Social Media and People around the World are upset over this order.
Many United States citizens feel like prisoners. There’s been a wave of protests across the country on Sunday.
Trump’s team apparently never ran the order by officials at the Justice Department. Homeland Security officials weren’t given much guidance about how the order would be implement or enforced.
The federal judge had temporarily and partially blocked Trump’s order.
Foreign leaders slammed the ban. A petition to stop Trump’s planned state visit to Britain has nearly 1 million signatures.
The banned has affected thousands of business and colleges in the United States and across the world.
Trump said he felt the implementation of the order “was working out very nicely.” He later defended the executive order, saying it was not a Muslim ban but a move that would keep the United States safe from terrorists. Trump later said compassion to those feeling oppression, his first priority was the keep the nation safe.
