THE MONEY-LOSING MALL MAY FINALLY BE OUT OF ATLANTA’S HANDS
South Carolina Developer WRS Real Estate is said to be purchasing Underground Atlanta for close to $300 Million. The WRS is proposing new student housing, shops, hotel, and a grocery store to revamp the area — a great look for Atlanta as the deserted shopping center has become more detrimental to the city of Atlanta financially than beneficial.
So, what’s the hold up? Mayor Kaseem Reed said in a press conference that he’s setting an official deadline of January 31st for the deal to be done — exciting news for metro Atlanta residents.
