RAVEN-SYMONÉ IS LEAVING “THE VIEW” FOR HER OWN SHOW!
Raven-Symoné is moving on with her career and leaving “The View” behind. According to Variety, she will be leaving the ABC daytime talkshow at the end of the year and is planning to develop a spinoff of her popular series “That’s So Raven.”
“That’s So Raven” was the highest rated Disney show among children ages 6-11 and averaged 1.1 million viewings in Disney’s recent midnight airings.
Symoné is going to work as an executive producer and will play Raven in the series. Scott Thomas and Jed Elinoff will also be working as writing and producing partners. Symoné will relocate from New York City to Los Angeles for her role.
Raven Baxter, who was last seen as a teenager, will return as the main character of the series. She is now a divorced mother of two pre-teen children. One of the children has her ability to see visions of the future.
Symoné’s departure from “The View” was not very shocking. This season she has only been appearing on the show about once a week. Insiders say that ABC has been looking for ways to make the cast of the show smaller.
The reboot of “That’s So Raven” will bring the memories we have to the new generation.
