The sultry R&B songbird Erykah Badu has just announced that she will return as the host for this year’s Soul Train Awards in Las Vegas. This years honorees will be Grammy award-winning New Jack Swing legend Teddy Riley, who will receive the Legend Award and 90s’ soul star Brandy, who will be honored with the 2nd annual Lady of Soul Award. Also the top nominees are the usual suspects like Drake, who leads all with 12 nominations followed by Rihanna, Beyonce and Bryson Tiller. Chance the Rapper and Anderson Paak are some fresh new faces that have multiple nominations.
The Soul Train Awards are set to be filmed November 6th and attendees of the event will be able to purchase VIP packages and more to allow access to events throughout the weekend. Jill Scott, Monica and more are featured to perform. Soul Train Awards, set for the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas,NV will air on BET and Centric November 27th, 2016 at 8PM ET.
